Presidents’ Day started out in the 1880s as a celebration of George Washington’s birthday. It is still now sometimes recognized as a day to honor both George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, who both have birthdays in February, but it is also often used to honor ALL U.S. presidents. This year, Presidents’ Day is celebrated Monday, February 15, 2021.
